Senior Management
Bev Kroll Beverley Kroll      A behavioral scientist, Bev is internationally recognized as an expert in consumer product testing. She was one of the early practitioners of industrial food technology and new product research. Her collaboration with Dr. Peryam began at the Food and Container Institute for the United States Armed Forces, where they developed the food acceptance and sensory testing program. She is renowned as a researcher/consultant for key brand development.
Jeff Kroll Jeff Kroll      A highly-trained sensory scientist as well as an experienced corporate manager, Jeff has overall responsibility for corporate systems. He has played a key role in the P&K organization since 1982, and today holds an equal ownership position with Dan and Bev Kroll.
Dan Kroll Dan Kroll      Peryam & Kroll's Chief Operating Officer, is also a highly-skilled sensory scientist who was trained by Dave Peryam, the company co-founder and acknowledged Father of Sensory Science. Dan is also responsible for database development, and directly oversees the P&K branch offices. He holds an equal ownership position with Jeff and Bev Kroll.
Richard Popper Dr. Richard Popper      A Senior VP, Richard has more than 30 years of experience in research design and multivariate statistics. Prior to joining P&K, he held R&D and Marketing positions at Ocean Spray. He has published widely on research methodology in academic and industry journals. Richard holds a Ph.D. in Psychology from Columbia University.
Mary Schrait Mary Schraidt      A Senior VP at Peryam & Kroll, where she has more than 25 years of experience in sensory and marketing research, Mary frequently consults with clients on product research methodology and has developed many of P&K's best testing practices. She also has a special expertise in testing with children. Mary is a graduate of Illinois Benedictine University.
John Kiney John Kiney      A Senior VP, John has been with the company since 1996. His insight and overall concepts for the company's IT function, together with personal expertise in the field and his programming ingenuity, has brought Peryam & Kroll into the forefront of research and information acquisition, analysis and storage technology.
Tom Dutt Tom Dutt      VP Client Services, Tom has 25 years of marketing research experience in consumer packaged goods. His expertise spans a wide spectrum of research methods. Prior to joining P&K, he was Vice President, Marketing Research at The Wrigley Company. Tom holds an MBA from Loyola University.
Eric Maddux Eric Maddux      P&K's Chief Financial Officer began consulting for Peryam & Kroll Healthcare early in 2004. Hired as director, and soon promoted to vice president of Healthcare, Eric took responsibility for P&K's accounting department in '07 and became CFO in '08. He has a BS in economics from Louisiana State University and an MBA from De Paul University.
Sam Phillips Sam Phillips      VP Consumer Research, Sam joined P&K with 15 years of marketing research experience, having served clients in the food, distilled spirits, personal care and pharmaceutical industries. In addition to product testing, concept testing, and A&U studies, she has extensive experience conducting Internet research. Samantha holds an MA degree in Communications from Morehead University.
Nancy Kramer Nancy Kramer      VP Consumer Research, responsible for the Santa Ana office and the West Coast Region. She has more than 15 years of sensory and marketing research experience, primarily in the food and beverage industries. Nancy has particular experience directing projects with complex study designs and food preparation protocols. She is a graduate of the University of Illinois, with a degree in Food & Business.
Ziad Matta Ziad Matta      VP Consumer Research, Ziad came to P&K in 2007 with in-depth knowledge in consumer and descriptive sensory science. His experience includes work at the Sensory Analysis Center at Kansas State University, consulting and upper management roles in the food industry. Ziad received his MS in Food Science from Kansas State University and is currently completing his PhD in Sensory Science.
Jay Velasco Jay Velasco      Jay Velasco, VP for Operations, has been with the company since 2003. He started out assisting project management teams, however, his flair for organization and his ability to develop procedural protocols soon earned him the position of head of the Chicago Laboratories. His personal dedication to achieving more efficient functioning of the laboratory and recruiting departments is helping to improve cost efficiencies for clients.
Hans Wolff Dr. Hans Wolff      Hans Wolff has been Peryam & Kroll's Statistician since he became part of the company in 2004. Hans came to P&K with a broad base of expertise in advanced statistical methods and analytics. Prior to joining P&K he taught graduate school business statistics, as well as providing statistical consulting and training for numerous CPG clients across the country. He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago.
